About Us

Nick Bacon - Director

Nick has a wealth of experience having completed numerous house refurbishments and, in more recent years, he has project managed many large extensions/alterations, loft conversions and landscaping works. Nick loves a challenge and is extremely creative with a great vision for the finished works.

Nick speaks fluent German having lived there for 6 years in his former career and then travelled for a while. On his return to the UK, Nick picked up a plastering trowel and having plastered for a few years he progressed into other elements of the trade and has never looked back.

His strength is in client relations and his ability to bring fantastic ideas to the table that you may not have even considered or thought possible.

Selina Bacon - Director

Selina studied A-Level Law and Accounts at Henley College and, having left there, starting working for a firm of commercial surveyors. She also worked at Thames Water, within their health and safety department (including emergency planning and security) and then moved on to work for an independent consultancy specialising in health and safety. Selina now looks after the administrative and accounting side of the business and liaises with suppliers and clients on a daily basis.

Selina and Nick have two daughters and having been through it themselves, they understand the impact works have on family life and do all they can to ensure that the process is as easy and stress free as possible.

Don't just take our word for it

If you require building, construction or design work in the Berkshire area we would without hesitation recommend Selina Interiors. Having worked with them on numerous projects over the years I was thrilled to partner with them again on my two story renovation and landscaping project.

We resided in an annex on site during the work and so it was of key importance to us that the team were safe and trustworthy. From start to finish Nick, who owns the business, and his wonderful team made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. They were timely, knowledgeable and left the site immaculate at the end of each working day. They were pleasant company to be around and by the time they left the site they were family to us.

Quality oozes from every element of their finished work. We have been living in the completed house for over a year now and it still looks as polished as day one! Their attention to detail is unrivalled, not one light fitting, plug socket or window latch fitting was small enough to escape their scrutiny.

The team at Selina Interiors went above and beyond to construct our dream home despite dealing with the adversities that come with a global pandemic, flooding, us adapting our vision on them every few weeks & material shortage!

Every single element, the carpentry, construction, paintwork, landscaping and rendering was expertly coordinated for us. We could not be happier with the experience or the finished product and anticipate a long standing partnership to come with Selina Interiors. To put it simply would not use anyone else.

One thing that really stands Nick apart from other project managers or builders is his flair and creativity. He immediately came to the build with suggestions for major design features and ideas that had been missed by our highly paid architect.

This creativity and enormous desire to create the ideal home for us ran throughout the project from major structural design to interior design at all levels. His respectful partnership approach helped to give us ideas when we didn’t have any and help nudge us in the right direction.

Gemma and Paul Davis Caversham

His team worked hard to meet my specifications and made several practical and aesthetic suggestions along the way ensuring the best outcome. It seemed like whenever I had a question or query he had already thought of it and were one step ahead.

His attention to the details made all the difference as did the clean and tidy state he left the kitchen in when he finished. I am very happy to recommend him.

Nigel Crabb

Nick has done an excellent job on my house refurbishment. All work ran to time and all obstacles were overcome. I was having this work carried out at at time of intense personal stress and Nick took much of the load. By taking the time to find out my taste and he was able to help me to make important decisions without pressure but with huge vision and enthusiasm.

I am a perfectionist and I am delighted with the end result. We have a warm, modern and comfortable home.

T Sanderson, Berkshire

Selina Interiors initially quoted for an extension and renovation of our semi-detached house in Caversham. Their quote was competitive but due to economic factors we decided to go with an alternative company. After being let down by this alternative company, who left the house in a dangerous state half way through the build, Selina Interiors graciously picked the project up. This was not an easy thing to do as the project was superficially in a nearly complete state - though there were a lot of hidden issues that needed resolving.

Having a team on the project who we could trust, especially after our previous experience, was a huge weight off our shoulders. Nick and his team worked incredibly hard to get the project back on track, minimise costs and rectify the other company's mistakes.

Nick was able to guide us through every step, providing expertise not only in the technical aspects of the project but also providing invaluable advice and knowledge on the design - he helped improve aspects of the design that we would not have caught ourselves.

This continued after the completion of the build - helping resolve problems with Building Control caused by the previous company, allowing us to get a Building Control Completion Certificate.

Selina Interiors delivered a wonderful familv home for us and I have been recommendina Selina Interiors to everyone since. We have recently asked Nick and Selina Interiors to rebuild our garage and will be keen to use them for anv future proiects because we are so confident in their abilities and workmanship.
